Earth Science Education in Bolivia
As part of the Fulbright Scholarship, I was invited by my colleagues to participate in Earth Science education at their UMSA. During my 2025 trip, I was able to get involved in a variety of ways, including: substitute teaching geochemistry classes in Spanish while my colleagues were in the field; giving presentations about Supervolcanoes in the Geology department’s lecture hall; teaching a 20-hour certificate class titled “Geochemistry: An examination of Earth’s Elements and their processes (In English)”; and advising students on how to apply and prepare for graduate school in the united states. I was able to incorporate my geologic coloring maps in most of these endeavors.
